Conference registration fees include:
All educational sessions and all food & beverage for all meal periods (including breaks!) for the duration of the conference. For 2017, we are also attending the Culinary Institute of America (CIA) at Greystone for a half day of education. This is included in your registration fees.
PLEASE NOTE: The agenda for 2017 has been extended and will now run through Tuesday night. Please schedule departing flights for anytime on Wednesday. The conference will conclude following dinner on Tuesday, August 29.

This conference is unique in that almost EVERYTHING is included in your registration cost! Included:
o Opening Welcome Party on Sunday, August 27, including bar and dinner
o Breakfast, Lunch at a winery, Breaks with Snacks, Cocktails & Dinner at a winery on Monday, August 28
o All educational sessions on Monday, August 28, including educational sessions at the Culinary Institute of America at Greystone (with bus transportation)
o Breakfast, Break with Snacks, Lunch and Gala Dinner on Tuesday, August 29
o All educational sessions on Tuesday, August 29
Please budget for additional costs including:
o Hotel Accommodations – The ACCP has negotiated a rate of $219.00 + taxes and local fees at The Silverado Resort & Spa in Napa Valley, CA. Junior Suites and 1-Bedroom suites are also available at a special negotiated rate. There is a “resort fee” of $25.00 per room, per night and includes the following: bell gratuities, on property transportation gratuities, self and valet parking, unlimited personal WIFI access, unlimited local calls, unlimited 800 calls, in-room coffee and tea, tennis on any of 10 courts, golf bag storage, access to the fitness and workout facility, and admittance to any of the more than 30 fitness classes offered weekly. Once registered, you will receive an email with the link to make your room reservation in our group block.
o Air Travel – When booking your flights, please keep in mind that Registration is open from 1:00pm – 4:00pm and the Opening Session starts at 4:00pm on Sunday, August 27. Plan on arriving on property no later than 3:00pm in order to check-in, register and be on time for the Opening Session. The conference agenda comes to a close following dinner on Tuesday night, August 29. This is a change from years past, when we concluded after lunch. The agenda now extends through Tuesday night, so plan on departing no earlier than Wednesday morning.
There are 3 airports to choose from –
Sacramento (SMF), Oakland International (OAK) and San Francisco (SFO). Sacramento is the least congested and probably the quickest route to Napa, with Oakland being a very close second and San Francisco being the furthest and most congested, getting in and out of the city. Plan on about 1 hour and 15 minutes between Sacramento and Napa, and minimum 1 hour and 30 minutes between Oakland and Napa and minimum 1 hour and 45 minutes between San Francisco and Napa.
o Transportation to and from the airport –There are a few options for transportation to the resort and back to the airport. If you plan on spending time in Napa before or after the conference, your best option is going to be to rent a car. You definitely will need one to get around Napa. If you are coming just for the conference, you can either take a scheduled, public shuttle from Oakland or San Francisco Airports or book private transportation. Here are the two options:
Evans Shuttle- Public Shuttle
The Evans shuttle runs on a set schedule from Oakland or San Francisco airports. They do not service Sacramento. There is no need to make a reservation for your arrival (you just show up at the scheduled time at the airport pick up location), but you do need to make a reservation for your departure. This shuttle takes you to their main headquarters in Napa and then onto the Silverado Resort via private car. $60.00 one way to the final destination. For departures, you can schedule ahead of time, or with the shuttle when it drops you off at the resort. Click on this link for the schedule of times.
Private transportation is provided through California Wine Tours and your driver will meet you at baggage claim with a sign with your name. They can accommodate any size group, so you can travel by yourself or with other conference attendees. Prices are approximately:

in Napa in the summer is truly special. The vines are beginning to burst with
glorious fruit and the temperatures are rising – just what the grapes love. I
wanted to make sure that you are aware of the attire as I know a lot of you are
beginning to shop for the perfect conference attire! Napa Valley (and
California in general) has a pretty casual vibe. I am revising the “business
casual” dress of this conference to be “California Casual” or “Resort Casual”.
Nice shorts, casual dresses and even nice jeans are appropriate. Feel free to
leave the stilettos (or wing tips) at home, be comfortable and wear your flats.
Many people have a pre-conceived notion that Napa is pretentious. Nothing could
be further from the truth! These amazing wine makers and owners are really just
“farmers” and life in Napa is a simple celebration of great food, friends and
wine. You will love it. The days will be a beautiful 84 degrees, with nights cooling
down considerably to about 55 degrees (this is why the grapes love it here!) All
meetings are indoors, and as you know, sometimes meeting rooms can be chilly
even if it is hot outside, so always have a light sweater. Feel free to dress in our conference colors if you like!
This year our colors are eggplant and olive green.
Here is a
summary of days and dress:
August 27th for opening session and welcome party –
California, resort casual. Wedges or flats for the “Napa Style” Welcome Party
are best. No need to change between the opening session and welcome party! Come
right out and grab a glass of wine! The Welcome Party is outdoors.
August 28th – this day, we are “out and about” in Napa
Valley visiting 2 wineries (Sterling for lunch and Beringer for dinner!) and
attending 4 hours of education at the Culinary Institute of America at
Greystone. Flat shoes are mandatory! We have an opening session at Silverado
Resort in the morning and then we are on buses and gone the rest of the day –
only one outfit needed this day! Both the lunch at Sterling and the dinner at
Beringer are outdoors.
August 29th – we are on-site at Silverado all day for
educational sessions and inspiration. You will have an hour or so to return to
your rooms before the final Gala, so feel free to again dress in California,
resort casual for the meetings. For the Gala, the event will be on grass, so
you can change into something a little more dressy or “chic” if you wish, but
again, flats or wedges for the ladies are your best bet!
you think “casual but chic” when picking out outfits, you will be “on point”.
Club Challenge!! We are thrilled to announce that we will once again have a Conference Charitable Giving Project and our benefactor once again for 2017 will be (drumroll). . . The Birthday Party Project! The Birthday Party Project brings joy to homeless children by hosting birthday parties! The ACCP will kick off the giving by providing a monetary donation that will host one entire birthday party ($400). We challenge each club to do the same! Over the last few years, we have raised over $10,000 for this amazing cause and made a lot of kids very happy! If anyone knows the joy a party brings, it’s YOU! I know our amazing Catering Directors and Club Professionals will rally to get everyone on board with this Charitable Giving project! Please ask your clubs to donate to this incredible cause and bring your donations with you to the conference! Any size donation is VERY appreciated!
