Life in the Rocky Mountains is spectacular! We
want to make sure that you are aware of the attire as I know a lot of you are
beginning to shop for the perfect conference attire! Colorado has a pretty casual vibe. “Resort Casual” will work for all meetings.
Nice shorts, casual dresses and even nice jeans are appropriate. Feel free to
leave the stilettos (or wing tips) at home, be comfortable and wear your flats.
The days will be in the mid-80's, and the nights cool
down considerably to about 55 - 60 degrees, so you definitely need a jacket or sweater at night. All
meetings are indoors, and as you know, sometimes meeting rooms can be chilly
even if it is hot outside, so always have a light sweater.
Here is a
summary of days and dress:
August 25th for opening session and welcome party – Resort casual. The Welcome Party will be indoor/outdoor. No need to change between the opening session and welcome party! Come
right out and grab a cocktail!
August 26th – this day, we are in educational sessions at the resort all day. We will be leaving the resort for dinner. More details coming soon on the location...
August 27th – again, we have education all day at the resort and then you will have an hour or so to return to
your rooms before the final Gala, so feel free to again dress in
"resort casual" for the day time events and education.
Club Challenge!! We are thrilled to announce that we will once again have a Conference Charitable Giving Project and our benefactor once again for 2019 will be (drumroll). . . The Birthday Party Project! The Birthday Party Project brings joy to homeless children by hosting birthday parties! The ACCP will kick off the giving by providing a monetary donation that will host one entire birthday party. We challenge each club to do the same! Over the last few years, we have raised over $13,000 for this amazing cause and made a lot of kids very happy! If anyone knows the joy a party brings, it’s YOU! I know our amazing Catering Directors and Club Professionals will rally to get everyone on board with this Charitable Giving project! Please ask your clubs to donate to this incredible cause and bring your donations with you to the conference! Any size donation is VERY appreciated!
