Search, Interview and Placement Services

Finding the right candidate for your Catering & Events positions are key to developing the most professional team that can deliver both Member and Private Event experiences that your Members will never forget. This role is critical in creating the “wow” factor at events and planning seamless events and experiences which will impact member retention. You never have a second chance to “do-over” an event… one chance at making a member’s daughter’s wedding perfect, one chance at the most memorable birthday party and one chance at every member interaction and engagement. You want the ideal candidate to deliver the dream, exceed the expectations and create memories for a lifetime.

ACCP can assist in varying ways, with options from posting the position on our website; sending out a dedicated eblast specific to your club and position; and the fully comprehensive option of conducting the search through our vast network, interviewing the candidates, placing just the very best in front of you for your consideration and facilitating in-club interviews with your team.

Posting Your Position on our Website

As a benefit of membership, ACCP Members can post an open position on our website as a complimentary service. We then give a shout-out on our social media platforms, alerting our network to the open position. Simply email the posting, in a Word or PDF document, to [email protected].

Dedicated e-Blast

Looking for faster results to a broader audience? ACCP will craft an e-Blast to go out to our 11,000 private club industry database, with images of your club, descriptions and the job posting. Fee is $495. Email [email protected] if you are interested in this option.

Interview and Placement Services

ACCP will conduct the search through our vast network, interview the candidates, place just the very best in front of you for your consideration and facilitate in-club interviews with your team.

Services include:

  • Creation of a customized job description
  • Review and revisions, if necessary, of current ad/posting
  • Posting the job description on industry avenues/job boards. If there is a cost associated with any particular posting or ad, prior approval from the club will be attained
  • Review of all resumes
  • Telephone/video conference interviews to narrow the field to the top candidates
  • In-person interviews at the Club to narrow the field to the top 1-2 candidates
  • Facilitation of a group interview at the Club with whomever the Club chooses to participate (General Manager, F&B Director, Chef, Human Resources, etc.) and Lynne LaFond DeLuca
  • Recommendation for the best qualified candidate for the position. Final decision is the responsibility of the Club
  • Creation of an appropriate compensation package based on the candidate, qualifications and Club budget
  • Complimentary 1 - year annual membership in the Association of Club Catering & Event Professionals for ongoing education of new Catering & Event Director

Training Services Included:

  • Evaluation of Catering Department; Priority list for new Catering & Event Director
  • Weekly phone calls with new Catering & Event Director for 30 days following start date

Guarantee

Should the position become available within 6 months following the start date of the new candidate, ACCP will include the interview and placement of a new candidate at no additional cost other than travel expenses.

Optional Training

Once the new person is in place and if necessary, based on the experience level of the new Catering Director, ACCP can facilitate a training program to help the new person become effective as quickly as possible. This would include:

  • Daily activity and time management
  • Inter-club communication with the Catering Department
  • Catering office structure, systems and policies
  • Member-focused marketing strategies
  • Competitive Analysis
  • Creation of a thorough Marketing Plan covering all targets markets (including internal, member marketing as well as external), areas of opportunity, seasonal programs, short term (30-60 day) immediate revenue opportunities, long-term revenue opportunities

Interview and Placement Services will include as many days in the Club as deemed necessary in order to identify the appropriate number of candidates.
